Dr Olivia Fiertag is a London based Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist and qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist. Dr Fiertag works with a private multidisciplinary team of child and adolescent mental health therapists at the Golders Hill Health Centre, near Hampstead in North West London.
Dr Fiertag specializes in treating children and adolescents presenting with ADHD, Autism, OCD, anxiety, depression, somatising (physical expressions of psychological illness), and emotional needs relating to physical or chronic illness.
Dr Fiertag completed her undergraduate medical training at the University of Aberdeen and completed her post graduate training in psychiatry at St Mary’s Hospital in London, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy at the University of Oxford. Dr Fiertag worked as a Substantive NHS Consultant for Forest House Adolescent Unit, Hertfordshire Partnership Foundation NHS Trust and an Honorary Clinical Lecturer for Imperial College.
Aside from her work in the UK, Dr Fiertag has developed mental health services and education with NGO’s and Governmental Organisations in Ghana, Malawi, Ethiopia, Turkey and is interested in the cultural influences in mental and physical health.
Dr Fiertag is active in paediatric psychiatric research and teaches doctors and other healthcare professionals. Dr Fiertag is a school governor and provides talks to schools. She also writes about her work for psychiatric publications.
